Enfleurage

“if tasting is an accompaniment of eating, smelling is an accompaniment of breathing”
James J. Gibson. The Senses Considered as Perceptual Systems

I am working on the beautifully time absorbing process of enfleurage with The Lavender Hinge. We are creating the perfume "Our Lavender Rose". Petals and blooms are laid down into the shea butter bed and left there, encased, to impregnate their scent. They are then carefully removed; defleruage. Fresh blooms are replaced on the butter bed; enfleurage. Then carefully removed; defleurage.
Enfleurage
Defleruage
Enfleurage
Defleruage
Over and over
And over again.
Until the butter bed is fragrant with the depth of the bloom/s.

  3. "The Pink Investigator" could be an exciting character, blending mystery and style. Imagine this investigator wearing a real leather varsity jacket a perfect symbol of their confidence and toughness. The jacket adds an edgy, timeless appeal to their persona, complementing their sharp intellect as they unravel secrets in the pink-lit world of intrigue.

Lisa Z. Morgan is an artist, designer and writer. The subject and object of desire has been a palpable constant within her artistic expression both as a motivation and in its embodiment or articulation. Through her creativity and research Morgan examines how the value of provenance, of rarity and storytelling, puts into question or provokes our understanding and relationship towards desire and the desire impulse. Her focus has been how we may access, stimulate and touch the internal points of registration or the emotional dynamics of bodily perception. In essence she attempts to define and make manifest the feeling of feeling. Her work inhabits a space where art, semiotics, design and fashion intersect.
